01General
These Terms of Service apply to the Geist client, its loader and the website geistclient.com, run by the Geist developers (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Geist you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. We may update these terms over time. If you keep using the service after a change, the updated terms apply. Material changes are announced on our Discord.
02The product
Geist is a utility client for Minecraft Java Edition. When you buy Geist, you buy a license to use the software. You do not buy the software itself, its source code or any ownership rights in it. You need your own Minecraft Java Edition account to use Geist.
03Your account
To use Geist you create an account on our website with a username, a password, an email address and a license key. You use the same username and password to log in to the client. Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens with your account. An account is for one person.
04Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Geist for your own, non-commercial use. A license is tied to a limited number of devices (HWID slots), which your account dashboard shows. If you change devices, contact support on Discord and we will help you move your license.
05License types
Monthly
A 30-day pass, paid once. It does not renew automatically and there is nothing to cancel. Buying another Monthly pass adds 30 days to the current one. When the pass ends, you can no longer log in to Geist until you buy a new one. A Monthly pass can’t be bought for an account that already has a Lifetime license.
Lifetime
A one-time payment. Your license stays valid for as long as Geist is offered and maintained by us. If you buy Lifetime while a Monthly pass is running, Lifetime replaces the pass. Remaining days are not refunded.
Beta
Everything in Lifetime, plus access to beta builds. Beta builds get new and improved features first. Everything in them is intended to reach the stable release eventually, but bugs and changes are part of that. If you already own Lifetime and want Beta, you only pay the difference, because Beta already includes Lifetime.
06Prices and payment
All prices are final prices in euros as shown at checkout at the time of purchase. Card and other online payments are processed by Stripe on its own checkout page. We never see your full payment details. Payment in cryptocurrency is possible by arrangement through a ticket on our Discord. We may change prices for future purchases at any time. This does not affect licenses that were already bought.
07Delivery
Geist is delivered digitally, immediately after your payment is confirmed. If you buy without being logged in, you receive a license key on the confirmation page and by email, and you create your account with it. If you buy while logged in, the purchase is added to your account directly. You download Geist from your account dashboard.
08Refunds
We allow refunds for valid reasons. If the client does not work for you or something is wrong with your purchase, contact us on Discord and we will sort it out. Chargebacks without contacting us first are treated as a violation of these terms. If a payment is refunded or reversed, the license it granted is removed from the account.
09Referral program
Our team hands out referral codes, and most users who ask for one get it. A buyer who enters a valid code at checkout gets the fixed discount shown before payment.
When five purchases made with your code have been paid and not refunded, we add permanent beta access to your account. Purchases that are refunded no longer count. Codes must not be promoted with spam or misleading claims. We may deactivate misused codes and change or end the program for the future. Rewards already granted are not affected.
10Acceptable use
You may not do any of the following.
- Share, sell, rent, lend or otherwise pass on your license or account
- Crack, decompile, reverse engineer or modify Geist, or bypass its license protection, unless the law expressly allows it
- Redistribute any build of Geist
- Open unjustified chargebacks or use fraudulent payment methods
- Misuse referral codes, for example through fake purchases
The only exception: configuration files created by the client may be shared with others.
11Servers and bans
Geist is a tool, and you decide how and where you use it. You are responsible for following the rules of the servers you play on. Whether Geist is detected depends on your configuration, and no client can guarantee that it goes undetected on every server. We are not responsible for bans, lost accounts, lost items or lost progress on third-party servers.
12Updates and availability
Geist is under active development and features may be added, changed or removed. Support for new Minecraft versions is planned but not guaranteed, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of our services.
13Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you seriously breach these terms. In that case you are not entitled to a refund. You may stop using Geist at any time. You can ask us to delete your account. Deletion is final, but the license stays valid.
14Minecraft
Geist is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang AB or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.
